Pride of Bracknell Awards - Special Contribution

THIS award was given to Hope 08.
Judges this year could not agree on which category this nomination should be placed. Over 300 people, young and old from across Bracknell and the surrounding areas, gave up their time to volunteer and work around the borough during a week in September. There was community spirit as hundreds of people were drawn together to paint playgrounds, be-friend social groups. And there was Eco heroes as the teams of volunteers got to work clearing parks and helping to plant unkept areas and finally there was a major festival at the end of the celebration to bringing thousands of people together for a day of music and relaxation for the all the hard work done.
